It Must Be Cheesecake Day

Cheesecake is probably one of the best foods ever invented.  I've been thinking about cheesecake since I was on Twitter this morning and came across cheesecake.com.  They're more than cheesecake too, but for some reason the cheesecake part really stuck with me.  With that said, it comes as no surprise I put two cheesecake type recipes on my website today.  This weeks' featured recipe just happens to be Cheesecake Dip.

Cheesecake Dip
1 jar marshmallow creme
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese (you could probably subsitute low-fat)

Simply beat the softened cream cheese with the mashmallow creme until it's light and fluffy.  Use it in any of the following ways:

1. Put in a graham cracker crust and chill.  It makes a good "no-bake" style cheesecake.
2. Use it as a dip for fruit.
3. Scoop into individual dessert dishes and top with pie filling, ice cream topping, chocolate-anything that goes well with cheesecake.
4. Stir in 1/4 cup peanut butter and use as a filling between 2 chocolate cookies or graham crackers.

You can find the recipe for an easy 3-Step White Chocolate Cheesecake  on my website now also.

I know a ton of people like cake-it's not really something I have a taste for, BUT, once I tried this Tropical Dream Cake, I can say I've finally met a cake I like!  It practically melts in your mouth, and is so light and fluffy you don't even feel like you're eating cake.

Check out the new "Snacks" category on my website.  I've posted the recipe for the Original Chex Party Mix.  Remember, the REAL kind, with the peanuts?

There's many more recipes to choose from on my website, http://www.recipemoms.com/.  Pick and choose from different categories to create a delicious meal.

Tasty Recipes!

I've added some more categories and more recipes to my website.  New categories are Breads & Rolls, and Side Dishes.  Are you looking for a new dish to add to your Christmas dinner?  Instead of the same 'ol dressing, try my Wild Rice Dressing recipe.  Delicious!  Love chow mein but don't want all the fuss?  Try the Mock Chow Mein recipe.  Is your favorite snack chips & salsa?  Here's a new twist on it-a great treat to put out for when comany comes over and you want something to munch on while you visit.  It's this week's featured recipe!

Eagle Layer Dip
(2) 9oz cans bean dip
(1) 11.5 oz jar salsa
1 cup sour cream
3-4 green onions
1 can black olives (pitted)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Spread bean dip evenly on a rectangular tray.  Mix together salsa and sour cream and spread over bean dip.  Top with chopped green onions, sliced black olives, and shredded cheddar cheese.  Serve cold with tortilla chips.

There's enough to it that it's almost a meal in itself.  If you've got any recipes you'd like to submit, or perhaps some time-saving tricks or tips in the kitchen you'd like to share, please visit http://www.recipemoms.com/ and click on "Contact Us" to share!

Our featured recipe of the week:

    Ramen Crunch Salad
Mix together 1 package coleslaw mix, 1 bunch green onion, 1 cup sunflower seeds, 1 cup chopped or slivered almonds, and 1 package of beef flavored Ramen noodles, crushed.
Just before serving, mix together 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 3/4 tablespoons white vinegar, and the seasoning packet from the Ramen noodles.  Pour over the coleslaw mixture and stir well.  Enjoy!

I would recommend a main dish of Teenager's Delight as a good one to pair with the Ramen Crunch Salad.  If you've still got room for dessert, how about Cherry Brownies?
